On the back of the passenger s side cylinder head there is an m12x1 5 port.
Autometer adapter 2277 threads right into place here to get you a proper 1 8 npt port.
First replace the water pump temp and head sensor gauge.
Due to the small size of this port you will not be able to use a mechanical temp gauge without drilling and tapping the head.
I took out the plug toward the back of the passenger side head and used the following to allow monitoring of temp in the head with an electric temp gauge.
Using a mechanical oil temperature in this location is not recommended due to the size of the probe requiring a minimum 3 8 npt with a 2263 adapter which measures nearly 5 8 in diameter.
