To troubleshoot your liftmaster safety sensors.
Liftmaster garage door light does not work.
Check if something is blocking the way of the safety sensor.
Bulbs will not work in older garage door openers and some people believe these new style bulbs can actually interfere with the transmitter and receiver causing the opener remotes to not work properly.
Not able to program a new remote control or keypad.
Refer to your product manual to ensure your light bulbs do not exceed the recommended size and wattage for your unit.
Check for a blinking light on the multi function door control panel.
If you are experiencing any of the above issues replace the light bulbs with cfl bulbs or.
However if the lamp will not work in the outlet assume there is an electrical problem.
Press and hold the lock button for 2 seconds then the led will glow solid indicating the lock feature has been deactivated.
Check the fuse or breaker box.
When the safety sensor is not properly aligned or something is obstructing the light beam the garage door will fail to close.
Unplug the garage door opener then immediately plug the opener back into the electrical outlet.
Remote control or keypad will close the garage door but won t open it.
Listen for the light relay on the logic board to click.
If you hear a click replace the light socket if you do not hear a click replace the logic board.
Remote control only works when it is close to the garage door opener.
If you are experiencing any of the following issues your light bulb may not be compatible.
If the light is blinking push the lock button to turn off the lock feature.
The liftmaster garage door opener lights will flash for ten times.
